    Black Rajma Beans or Black Turtle Beans are also known as kala wal or kala ghevda in local languages.  

    High in Protein (8.8 gms for every 100 gms) and Fibre (8.7 gms for every 100 gms), Black Rajma are high in antioxidants and protects against inflammation. The green young pods of Black Rajma are cooked as a vegetable, while the dried beans furnish the protein requirements of the larger population. 

    With its high Fiber content, Black Rajma aids in improving digestion and stabilizes blood glucose levels. They contain soluble and insoluble satiety fiber thus providing high levels of satiety after consumption. This makes Black Rajma ideal for weight loss and diabetic management as well. 

    Cooked Black Rajma beans have a unique sweetness and flavour. They become buttery soft and tender once pressure cooked or on an open flame. Requires overnight soaking.

    Cooking Instructions

    Whole Black Rajma

    1. Soak Whole Black Rajma in warm water for at least 8 hours or preferably overnight
    2. Pressure cook for 7-8 whistles.
    3. Let Cool and use in desired recipe.
