What happens when India’s experts get together to celebrate rice?
Held on February 4th, 2023 at Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai, the Rice Festival served as a platform where Chef Thomas of The Locavore, Chef Gresham from Saltwater Cafe, Rushina Ghildiyal and Tatiana Das of the Veruschka Culinary Foundation of the differently abled kids came together with the tribal farmers from Maharashtra and Gujarat to curate and cook 40 dishes from OOO Farms’ native rice varieties.

The festival also saw two rice experts, Dr. Debal Deb and Dr. Patil, explain the arduousness and cruciality of not only the rice agriculture but also the conservation of climate-resistant, pest-resistant, flood and famine-resistant and adaptive native & indigenous seeds.
