Tulshya Rice (Unpolished) / तुळश्या

Revived by OOO Farms over a course of 4 years, Tulshya is a small grain, highly aromatic rice variety. Historically, Tulshya was used to make Kheer for the royal families and was a very well-kept secret amongst the higher social structures. 

Easy to digest, Tulshya is also a short duration paddy and grows with awns (thorn like long structures on the paddy) that prevents birds and animals from eating it when in field.

Highly Aromatic

-Soak for 5 hrs and then drain the water
- In a thick bottom pot, Boil 3 cups of water for 1 cup of raw rice.
- If soaked, the rice will take 25 mins to cook
- If unsoaked, the rice will take about 45-55 mins to cook

* Do not wash the rice too much
** You can use the soaked water as a rinse for hair
*** Use an Open Vessel instead of a Pressure Cooker to maintain the aroma
