The presence of Anthocyanins helps make Krishna Black Rice anti-inflammatory, prevents cancer risk and reduces risks of cardiovascular diseases.

Krishna Black makes Excellent Phirni and is best enjoyed with just some pistachios when serving.

Cooking Instructions

- Soak for 4 to 5 hrs or even overnight and then drain the water. The water will turn black because of the release of the anthocyanins in the rice.
- In a thick bottom pot, Boil 3 cups of water for 1 cup of raw rice.
- If soaked, the rice will take 30 mins to cook
- If unsoaked, the rice will take about 45-55 mins to cook

* Do not wash the rice too much
** You can use the soaked water as a rinse for hair
*** Use an Open Vessel instead of a Pressure Cooker to maintain the aroma
